Nice one guys - I love your stuff - When are you playing near Banbury next?
Posted by sianfiddle on Sun 27th Jan 2008 at 02:53 PM
Hi guys, just got 13F and it's on now. Brilliant stuff, as usual, but love the new heavier sound. We'll be there at Trowbridge protesting again if you're not there with new T shirts this year just to p**s off the Luddites and "finger in your ear folkies!!
Pop along to the Saul festival an' have a beer with us again if you can.
Cheers,
The Trowbridge Protesters.

It's very rare that those bloggers commentors have anything decent worth reading anyway. I can just imagine if I had that on my website, especially what with being a despair member.

I looked for this album in Walmart after a friend recommended it. Can you not buy it in the US ??

“Thirteen Fires” marks a clear departure from the bands traditional folk roots, with heavier guitar riffs provided by Jay MacDonald, more up tempo and more foot stomping than many previous offerings

I haven't seen you live yet but that is something that WILL be rectified this year and I cannot wait. Your music is awesome.

A refreshing change to the usual drivel that the record companies spew up for the delectation of the masses.

Just fabulous - as always! A glorious mix of traditional folk with some elegant "heavy" rock. A sort of Led Zeppelin crossed with early Curved Air, and a dash of Fairport Convention. Or possibly vice versa.

The guitars are a lot more prominent than on anything Ive seen done before and it’s a pretty wild and heavy beast

Have converted my girlfriend and my father (nearly - he said it was "a bit rocky, more noise in the background than he likes but well worth a listen") with Raggle Taggle Gypsio...
Was dying of waiting when my first copy I ordered got lost in the shite Leeds post, big thanks for the uber quick replacement and the copy of skyclad... Lets hope the lost copy ended up in some random other house and converts them too!
Discovered you last year at Solfest (BOO to breaks and not playing again) when I wandered into the bar tent to buy some ale... One of the most exciting new bands I have found for a while!

You have to pace yourself because you’re at risk of crashing and burning, and then you might not do anything for a month or two
